Saint Malo
The wealth of Malouin old buildings reflects the great moments in the history of the city. There are at Saint-Malo nine historic monuments : le château, les remparts and la tour Solidor (since 1886), le fort National (since 1906), la cathédrale Saint-Vincent (since 1910), le Petit-Bé (since 1921), l’hôtel André Désilles (since 1946), l’hôtel de la Gicquelais, maison natale de Chateaubriand (since 1964), le fort de la Conchée (since 1984), l’hôtel Magon de la Lande (since) plus 80 buildings listed in the inventory which additional sixty only intramural, most were under the protection after the Second World War to allow preserve the historic its authenticity.
